El tan temido primer post.

Hola a tod@s!

Dejad que me presente. Soy Miriam, fotógrafa de vocación, adicta a los cambios, soñadora, viajera (de tren y barco, el avión lo odio) aprendiz de adulta, amante de la luz y curiosa de nacimiento.

Soy medio española medio marroquí, pero ahora vivo en Bélgica. Vine aquí a hacer unas prácticas de dos meses al acabar mis estudios, pero a lo tonto ya llevo aquí seis meses (no encontré trabajo, pero encontré el amor, jajaja)!

Recientemente he pasado por una pequeña crisis de identidad, al darme cuenta de que: 1. No he elegido la profesión más fácil para encontrar un trabajo "normal" (con su horario, su estabilidad, su sueldo y su jefe); y 2. No había contado con que tengo que aprender holandés si quiero trabajar en el país al que me he mudado! (Así que aquí estoy estudiando, esta semana tengo mis últimos exámenes antes del siguiente nivel de mi querido flamenco)

Pero por otro lado, todo esto le añade un poco de emoción a la vida, y yo soy un poco masoquista, me gusta estar "con el culo al aire" y pasarlas canutas para buscarme la vida y continuar el camino. Qué le voy a hacer.. :$

Me encanta leer blogs, (aunque soy muy desorganizada, en serio, tengo que organizar mis marcadores en chrome!) y muchiiiiiisimas veces he pensado "Jo, me encantaría poder trabajar haciendo las fotos de las bloggers!" Como no tengo ni idea de si ni siquiera eso existe, o cómo leches ponerme a buscar un trabajo así, he decidido crear mi propio blog! Porque... por qué no?

Hi everyone! I am Miriam. Vocational photographer, addicted to changes, dreamer, traveler (train and boat, I hate airplanes), adult learner, and very very curious (or nosey :P).

I am half Spanish half Moroccan, and I currently live in Belgium. I came here to make an internship for two months when I finished my studies, but I'm already living here for six months... I found the love! ;)

I've been through a kind of identity crisis recently. I suddenly realized that: 1. I haven't chosen the easiest career to have a "normal" job (with stability and stuff) and 2. Yes! I am living in Flanders, and if I want to get a job I should speak Dutch.. no?? ;)  So yeah, this week I have my last exams from the level 1.1!

But all this is also adding some spice to life, and I am a little adventurous, I like to start from nothing and build everything with also a little bit of tears.. What can I do? :$

I LOVE to read blogs. (but I really have to organize my chrome's bookmarks, I'm a mess!) Many times, while reading, I've thought "I'd really like to work as a blogger's photographer" (u know, product, beautiful places, beautiful girls with beautiful clothes.. :) But I have no idea how to find a job like that, or even if that exists.. so I decided to create my own space here! Why not? (Waarom niet? ;)

Mis razones de peso:

1. Lo de escribir también lo tengo un poco pendiente, así que, qué mejor forma de mejorar que practicando!? (A veces me cuesta un montón expresarme)

2. Creo que tengo cosas que compartir que pueden interesaros... ;)

3. Me va a obligar a hacer fotos y compartirlas con vosotr@s! (El pecado de la pereza está muy arraigado en mi, y tengo que empezar a expulsarlo, por las buenas o por las malas!) Además, quiero fotos bonitas para mis lectores!

4. Carta de presentación. Mi blog no va a hablar exclusivamente de fotografía, pero mis imágenes van a acompañar a (casi) todos y cada uno de los posts, y quién sabe, tal vez un gurú de la fotografía o un jefazo de agencia las vea, le gusten.. y PAM! (poco probable pero who knows.. ;)

5. Mamá, quiero ser blogger!

6. No encuentro trabajo de momento, así que puedo dedicarle tiempo, y quién sabe.. tal vez, si hago las cosas bien, un día pueda vivir de esto. SSSHHH!!

Here are my reasons:

1. I really need to practice my writing (Also in English, for me it's still a little hard to express myself or translate something from my language into English, be patient please ;) Practice makes improvement!

2. I think I have interesting stuff to share with you guys!

3. I'll have to photograph stuff EVERYDAY! :D I mean, I am a little lazy, but this is a space I'm really gonna love, and I only want quality for my readers haha. So beautiful pictures for everybody!

4. Cover letter. This blog is not gonna talk exclusively about photography, but my shots are gonna be attached to (almost) every post. So who knows, maybe a photography guru or an agency boss arrives here, likes the pics.. and PAM! Hahaha.

5. Mom! I want to be a blogger!

6. I have a loooooot of time now. I'm just going to classes till I improve my Dutch, it's getting hard to find a job right now.. but I'm optimistic! Maybe if I do the things right, someday I could work exclusively in this blog. SSSHHHH!!

Y de qué voy a hablar en el blog?!

Si os digo la verdad, lo he pensado y repensado; al principio, me imaginaba un blog de repostería, pero era una idea estúpida, porque ni soy repostera, y las recetas que suelo utilizar están sacadas de otros blogs. (Eso sí, os iré metiendo alguna que otra receta días sueltos); de cocina, lo mismo.

De fotografía?? Sí, también os daré consejos y tips y truquis, pero no voy a escribir un blog exclusivamente sobre fotografía porque el público se reduce! De viaje (algo así como un diario de viaje) Mmmhh.. vivo en un pueblito y esto muy turístico como que no es.. y de momento no me puedo permitir mucho ir de turisteo por ahí, pero sí que os puedo descubrir rinconcitos, cuando nos escapamos a la ciudad, tanto aquí en Bélgica, como en mi Zaragoza natal.

De moda: no soy una ferviente seguidora de tendencias, pero me gusta la moda, así en general. Así que un poco de streetstyle, también va a estar incluido en el blog. De hecho, la fotografía de moda me apasiona! (No sé cuánto sentido puede llegar a tener, pero vaya).

Historias, reflexiones, proyectos, recomendaciones.. y sobre toooodo MUCHAS FOTOGRAFÍAS!

Y alguna sorpresita más que tengo aquí guardada + lo que se me vaya ocurriendo :P

En resumen: Este blog va a ir más o menos de: estilo de vida y visión personal de mi entorno! (englobando).

Y siempre  enrollándome como las persianas, e intentando que esto sea un rinconcito interesante, bonito y divertido.

Bueno, pues después de toda esta parrafada, solo me queda decir que.. nos vemos pronto!! :)

And.. what is this blog going to talk about?

I'm gonna be honest.. I've thought about it like.. crazy! At first, I saw that lot of beautiful baking blogs, with delicious recipes and beautiful pictures.. and I imagined something like that of my own. But then I woke up and I realized I'm not a baker lol. And I absolutely don't want to be copying another people's recipes (when I write a post about baking with somebody's recipes, I'll always reference it!). With a cooking blog would happen the same.

I've been also thinking about a photography blog, I obviously will give you some tips an advices, even inspiration, but an exclusively photography blog no.. the public will be reduced! And there are as well some other beautiful things in life :) A travelling blog? My travels are not that interesting :P but I can show you little beautiful places or interesting points from Belgium and from my beloved Zaragoza.

Fashion? I'm not really a fashion follower (I told u I'm very disorganized) but I like fashion. I've been thinking of a streetphotography section. In fact, I LOVE fashion photography!

Stories, thoughts, projects, recommendations... most of all.. A LOT OF PHOTOS!

And some surprises I've been thinking + whatever that comes to my mind! :P

So.. this blog is going to talk actually about lifestyle and my personal view of... everything!

I really hope you'll like it, I'm so excited about this new project! I'll try to make this an interesting, beautiful and funny place!
